TULSI QUEEN OF HERBS
Okay, I hope there is no one who does not know about the “Queen of herbs”, Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), also known as the holy basil. Tulsi is and has been an essential part of the Ayurveda since ancient times. In Hinduism, it is even worshipped as a figure of Goddess. The plant is originally from India but now can be seen growing in other parts of the world such as Australia, West Africa and some Middle East countries. It is used for medical purposes as an adaptogen to fight stress related problems and for boosting energy. Tulsi does help in lowering blood sugar levels but it may be really harmful if you are already taking medications for them. Taking Tulsi along with medications can lower your blood sugar levels too much.
- THINNING OF BLOOD
Same as with the blood sugar, it is harmful if you are already taking medicines for the thinning of blood along with Tulsi as it may enhance the process thus making blood more thin.
- LIVER DAMAGE
It may affect the functioning of liver if a person is already taking pain relieving medicines.
